Former Anambra governor Peter Obi and ex-Kano State governor Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, alongside Anambra Central senator Victor Umeh, have arrived at the Nigerian Democratic Congress (NDC) office in Abuja.
DAILY POST gathered that the politicians plan to officially declare their decision to join the party.
This development comes hours after Obi formally resigned from the African Democratic Congress (ADC), citing a lingering crisis within the party.
Spokesman to Kwankwaso, Habib Saleh Muhammad, had earlier confirmed that the former Kano State governor and his political camp have decided to leave the African Democratic Congress (ADC), citing internal challenges and limited time ahead of the 2027 elections.
Although Kwankwaso has not yet formally said anything to the effect, reports indicate that he has aligned with Obi as both men move closer to securing the proposed Obi-Kwankwaso ‘OK’ ticket.
