The Lagos State Police Command has identified Ms Feyisayo Ogedengbe , an auxiliary nurse, as the prime suspect in Mohbad’s Death.
The Command also said Naira Marley , Sam Larry, Primeboy, and one other have been named suspects.
“Five suspects have so far been identified, arrested, detained, and interrogated on their alleged roles in the sequence of events that led to the death of the singer,” said Commissioner of Police, Idowu Owohunwa.
Owohunwa revealed that Ogedengbe administered “multiple and highly potent” injections to the singer whose real name is Ilerioluwa Aloba, at his residence on September 12. The injections, consisting of Tetanus Toxoid, paracetamol, and Cetrazone — an antibiotic — triggered an immediate reaction, including vomiting, goosebumps, and convulsion.
The police commissioner disclosed that Primeboy, described as a childhood friend of Mohbad, attended a show with the singer on September 10, resulting in a physical fight that led to Mohbad’s injury and subsequent death.
Sam Larry , whose real name is Samson Balogun, was arrested for being complicit in the Afrobeats star’s death. There are also viral videos by the deceased about bullying and assault, according to Owohunwa which implicate Larry. Similarly, Abdul-Aziz Fashola, aka Naira Marley, was arrested over similar allegations.
Owohunwa also stated that the Command is still waiting for autopsy results from the exhumation of Mohbad’s remains. The result of the autopsy and toxicology test were undertaken on September 21, are still pending with investigation still ongoing.
