Lagos State Government has arrested multiple individuals for traffic obstruction during birthday celebration
The Government through the commissioner for environment has taken action against several individuals involved in a birthday celebration that obstructed traffic and caused an environmental nuisance in the Ikoyi area.
Among those arrested are Omolara Ajetumobi, an event planner; Ogundare Olubunmi, the celebrant; Ayodele Busuyi, a musician; Owoeye Adedayo, a sound engineer; and Akinola Akinkunmi, a vendor. The group was apprehended for blocking Raymond Njoku Road, disrupting the flow of traffic in the vicinity.
The arrested individuals are expected to face trial in accordance with state laws. On his Twitter, the commissioner Tokunbo Wahab, emphasized its commitment to upholding regulations and ensuring that all residents adhere to the law, stating, “No one is above the law.”
This incident serves as a reminder of the importance of respecting public order and the environment during celebrations.
