In a heartening turn of events, three-year-old Olamide Taiwo, who was in a stolen vehicle, has been located in Owode-Onirin, Ikorodu, Lagos State.
Previously, DAILY POST had reported the unsettling incident of a vehicle theft in Ikenne, Ogun State, on Saturday, where a three-year-old boy was inside the car.
The Toyota Camry car, registered as PKA 446GV and belonging to Taiwo Fayobi, was the target of the theft.
Police spokesman Omolola Odutola confirmed the harrowing ordeal, explaining that the thieves took advantage of Fayobi momentarily exiting the vehicle to open his gate.
“Taiwo Fayobi, a resident of Ikenne in Ogun State, reported that his Toyota Camry PKA 446 GV was taken by two hoodlums while he stepped out to open his gate, with his three-year-old son inside,” Odutola recounted.
Providing an update on the situation, Odutola informed reporters in Abeokuta that a compassionate individual in Lagos State had discovered the missing boy.
“Olamide Taiwo, the three-year-old boy abducted along with the stolen Toyota Camry, was found in Owode Onirin, Ikorodu, wearing an ‘Ikenne’ tag, by a Good Samaritan. The individual promptly alerted the Owode Divisional Police Officer. As of now, the red Camry remains unaccounted for,” she disclosed.
