Cardi B, the renowned rapper, has revealed in an Instagram Live clip that she’s seeking “a new beginning” after parting ways with her husband, Offset. The couple, married since 2017, may be on the verge of ending their five-year union.
In the Instagram Live video shared by a pop culture account, Cardi B candidly expressed, “I’ve been single for a minute now… I want to start 2024 fresh.”
Offset’s Silence
Offset, the Migos rapper, has not publicly commented on the separation. However, addressing allegations of an affair with Blueface’s ex-partner, he tweeted, “I ain’t never talk or touch that lady.”
Cardi B hinted at her single status in a message to her followers on Sunday night, stating, “I don’t know if you guys have been getting clues from me, from my lives or from my stories when I put certain music or find my unfollowings…”
Turbulent Relationship History
The announcement comes amidst reports of the couple unfollowing each other on Instagram and a history of turbulence in their relationship. Cardi B and Offset confirmed their separation in December 2018 but later reconciled. In September 2020, Cardi B filed for divorce, only to call it off after reuniting with Offset.
