Renowned Nollywood actor, Amaechi Muonagor, has passed away at the age of 62 after battling a prolonged illness, as confirmed by social commentator Morris Monye on Sunday.
Muonagor, known for his iconic roles on screen, struggled with kidney failure and underwent dialysis treatments.

The news of his demise comes as a shock, especially following a recent plea for funds to aid in his kidney transplant, which garnered widespread attention.
Expressing his grief, Monye remarked, “Deeply heartbroken by the news of Amaechi Muonagor’s passing. He was a talented Nollywood actor whose presence on our screens was truly masterful. We watched with concern as he battled health issues, offering whatever support we could to help him seek treatment in India.”
Monye emphasized the tragic loss as a poignant reminder of the pressing need for improved healthcare infrastructure in the country.
