Polish police on Thursday, arrested a 22-year-old man who impersonated a store mannequin at a Warsaw shopping centre, intending to steal jewelry.
Robert Szumiata, a spokesman for Warsaw police, explained what the man whose is not yet revealed did.
“He put on a new outfit, then stood still in the window like a mannequin to fool security guards and surveillance cameras.”
After closing time, the man successfully pilfered jewelry from a stand before being caught.
“We’d never seen anything like it,” Szumiata told AFP. The man, now charged with theft and burglary, could face up to 10 years in prison.
